I worked on this project during my intership at SHSH agency. I worked on it from start to finish and supervised the implementation. The exhibition attempts to improve the conception of the ideal female beauty in Roman times, with contemporary aesthetics and concerns. The work of photographer Marc Lagrange has been highlighted to create a visual tension with the era of Ancient Rome. Marc’s photographs engage in a dialogue with texts from 2,000 years of authors fascinated by feminine beauty. The collection of authentic objects is indicative of the kinds of resources and techniques on which elite Roman women relied to make their looks more attractive.
